Show him the reciept

It is not unusual to sometimes have the ownership of an asset questioned. Sometimes it is for good reason - to determine the real owner, especially if it is something that may have been stolen. Other times, you have people take what belongs to someone else and lay claim to ownership. In the latter case, some thieves are so bold in their claim that even the rightful owner begins to have some doubt as to whether the said item was actually theirs. It gets even more complicated if the item was purchased for the owner by a third party.

There are people that are calling another’s bluff over their own property and/or rights is their stock-in-trade. So the unsuspecting and susceptible, become easy targets. But there is one document that can settle the matter. Whoever can produce the receipt for the purchase with their name on it, is undoubtedly the owner. Question then becomes - can you show me the receipt?
One “very bold” thief on the prowl is the devil (1 Peter 5:8). Swindling Christians of the legitimate possessions and/or rights as co-heirs with Christ to God’s Kingdom is his major occupation (John 10:10). So much has been given to us by virtue of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. As he breathed his last hanging on the cross, he said “It is finished!” (John 19:30). The literal translation of the original text is “Paid in full!” The salvation package comes with redemption from sin, healing, peace, restoration, righteousness, delegated Kingdom authority, and so much more. But the devil, master swindler that he is tries constantly to take that which belongs to us and challenge our right of possession.
News flash - we have a receipt that details all that was purchased for us and the price that was paid. It cost our Lord Jesus Christ his blood, his life to redeem us and make available to us every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3-10). It’s called the Word of God. You need to READ it to KNOW what’s yours. You need to MEDITATE on it to readily recognize when you’re being conned out of what’s yours. You need to SPEAK UP and lay claim to what’s yours when the con artist a.k.a. the devil tries to pull one on you. You need to SHOW him the receipt!
In a nutshell: There is a swindler at large strategizing on how to take advantage of you and take what belongs to you. You are all the more susceptible when you don’t even know what is yours. Don’t let him pull one over you. Know your assets and have your receipt ready to show him when he challenges you.
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”, 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith . . . - 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. [Galatians 3:13-15, 26; NKJV]

To do: Make out time each day to read and meditate on scripture, even if it’s one verse.
Ask the Holy Spirit for revelation and insight as you read.
